Veterans in the Piping Trades

UA Local 26 proudly welcomes veterans and transitioning military service members who are ready to build rewarding civilian careers in the union piping trades. The discipline, teamwork, technical ability, leadership, and commitment to safety developed through military service are highly valued in careers such as plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and HVAC/R. Through apprenticeship, advanced training, strong wages and benefits, and the support of a union family, veterans can continue serving their communities while creating a secure future for themselves and their families.

The United Association’s Veterans in Piping, or VIP, Program provides free career training to transitioning active-duty service members at participating military installations, including Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. Participants can develop in-demand trade skills and prepare for opportunities within the United Association after completing their military service.
